Tech and science at the service of excised women

We have created scientific educational tools, a series of 3D animation models, understandable by everyone around the world, on sex alteration techniques (all types of excision and infibulation), the anatomy of the female sex with a focus on the clitoris, and clitoral transposition surgery.

The idea is to create pedagogical tools, based on the most recent knowledge of anatomy, that allow women to understand excision, the experience of the blade, what exactly the blade has done and what it has not. We begin to explain to them how the female sex is made, the architecture and function of the clitoral complex in their sexuality. And we end with a schematic description of what the surgical treatment of clitoral reconstruction can or cannot achieve.

Why create these tools and use technology?

Women do not have a shared memory, a story about what happened to them as babies or children.
It is true that in hospitals in France, for example, gynecologists take the time to do this work of explanation using anatomical charts, and ordinary tools such as the mirror to show women their altered sex. They also take the time to quickly explain the trajectory of the blade.

But this is not enough for women who may have difficulty visualizing and integrating the configuration of their sex and understanding the trajectory of the blade.
Indeed, 2D anatomical images fail to take into account the volumes and shapes that remain after amputation of the sexual organs and tissues of the anterior perineum of women.

Likewise, the trajectory of the blade is not well translated with a pencil stroke, the front views, without indications of the different parts, volume, thickness and layout of the amputation have a derealizing effect and do not allow an understanding of the excision, what happened and what was never transmitted.
